The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Warriors Group
Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the group understands precisely where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group access locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
What’s Next?
From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Explorers and Strategists groups.
Fans can expect discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
